Confederate Officer Civil War Sword

Boyle and Gamble Confederate Staff Officer SOLD

$0.00Price
  • Solid example of a circa 1863 Boyle and Gamble, Richmond, Virginia, regulation Confederate Staff Officer sword with original scabbard. This sword retains the original grip covering and wire wrap with only minimal wear as shown. The top sewn leather scabbard has several old repairs as shown, but nothing major. All mounts are correct (one pin missing)and original. Blade etching visible but weak (you can see part of the Confederate battleflag motif) and the anneal line is very clear near the ricasso. This is a moderately priced edged weapon compared to 99% on the current market and unquestionably authentic. Well respected Tennessee dealer Larry Hicklen sold sword this many years ago to a collector in the midwest.
