Offered is an original unfired Civil War cartridge for the Spencer Repeating Carbine (the gun you could load on Sunday and shoot all week).  The extruded copper casing has a wonderful mellow and non-corroded patina overall--the blank headstamp is correct for wartime production of this famous bullet!  Most on the market today have the headstamp of "U" or  "S.A.W." which are NOT Civil War era....
