Exceptional and 100% original Type III Confederate Fayetteville Armory Rifle.  This weapon was manufactured in Fayetteville, NC, in 1864 and is near the final evolution of the US Model 1855 Harpers Ferry Arsenal weapon.  Made on machinery captured at Harpers Ferry, these finely crafted and battle proven weapons were highly desired THEN and NOW!  It still retains the elusive arsenal inspection cartouche in the stock and the barrel date matches the lock marking.  Bore is a bit shaggy from use but very visible, and mechanics are tight and crisp.  This is a no-apology Confederate long arm that has been rare to find this nice FOREVER...investment grade all the way.  This is a MUST HAVE for any serious Confederate collection, plain and simple.

Confederate Civil War Fayetteville Arsenal Rifle, very nice!
