Beyond rare Confederate Civil War oval Georgia belt plate on original leather belt.  This is a "puppy paw" style plate with lead solder filler and as honest as they come.  Fresh from a New England estate where it was taken home as a trophy of War.  Very, very few of these exist either excavated or non-excavated.  Pure investment and museum grade overall, showing honest field use and wear--basically untouched patina.
