Manufactured by Boyle and Gamble of Richmond, Virginia, this rare Confederate officer sword retains the full original grip and wire and correct pinned mount leather scabbard. It has a potential identification carved in the reverse of the scabbard--more research is needed. This sword was gifted to the famous author Shelby Foote and once resided in his home!
