Fantastic and estate fresh example of the standard cap of the Union Army during the Civil War, this M1858 forage cap still retains the original Phillips maker tag in the crown and a full lining. Pure and untouched, just as found in a Connecticut attic a few weeks ago. Honest as they come these days! Minor old stitching repair as shown; can be removed.
