- The item featured here is fresh from a local veteran's estate and is a German Motorized Infantry Assault badge as issued during WWII by the Nazi military. The badge was designed by C.E. Junker of the city of Berlin and was a recognized combat honor badge of the Third Reich as of December 20th 1939. The authorization was approved by Generaloberst Von Brauchtisch.
Rules for awarding the Bronze Infantry Assault badge:
1. The soldier must participate in a minimum of three motorized infantry assaults.
2. The soldier must engage in hand to hand combat during the motorized assault on a position.
3. The soldier must participate in three or more motorized reconnaissance missions.
4. The soldier must have taken part in three or more motorized counter attacks.
5. The soldier must have engaged three or more times in a combination of activities 1 and 4.
