This rare and investment grade weapon is one of only 5,002 Model 1898 carbines manufactured by Springfield Armory. The serial number range for Model 1898 Carbines falls within the Model 1898 Rifle range and odocumented carbine serial numbers range from 118,894 to 134,256. This carbine is in the early part of the known and documented production Model 1898 Carbine serial number range and has the correct "C" marked sight.  The bore is near fine and the weapon even retains the even more rare brass muzzle cover!
